Follow you dreams and make diving your job

“From the first moment I took a breath from a regulator as a kid, diving was all I wanted to do. Being in the water and feel free is the best feeling ever. I love everything in the water and love to share that passion with others. From Discover Scuba Dive to Divemaster, from a Full Face Mask specialty to a Project Aware Clean up Dive and very year have a blast with Pumpkin Carving Underwater. I would like to inspire and help everyone find their own passion underwater. If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life! The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is your opportunity to make diving your job! Let me tell you how to get there en go from there.

PADI Card

Step one is the beginning of the PADI dive ladder. The PADI Open Water Course. “I remember doing this course and being so excited to learn about all the equipment and practicing my buoyancy. Who doesn’t want to feel like they’re flying? Nowadays you can do the E-learning in advance, instead of a book and just need 2 days for the practical part.  After that you can dive independently, with a buddy, up to 18m/60ft.

Step two can come straight away after your first step. Five adventure dives in one package, the PADI Advanced Open Water Course! Learn more about deep diving and underwater navigation and pick three more adventure dives out of all the specialties available. “Me holding a compass for the skills in the navigation dive was exciting and when I came back from my square at the exact same spot, I felt amazing! If I can do it, you can too!”

Step three is climbing up the ladder to the Rescue Diver course. This is the best recreational dive course in my opinion. Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging, yet most rewarding and fun course they have ever taken. Why? Because you learn to anticipate, prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.  “I loved this course from beginning to end!”

Become a PADI Pro

Then you arrive at the beginning of your professional career, the PADI Divemaster Course. When you join that club, you will be joining the largest club in the dive industry (that of PADI Professionals) and be able to work all over the world. This is where you start to share your passion for diving and advocate for the underwater world and its inhabitants. This decision is an extremely important one which will affect the rest of your life. You should not make such a decision just from a web page.

To help you, we offer an obligation free PADI Career consultation service, you can reach us by e-mail, or make an appointment on location if you happen to be in sunny Curacao! We have different possibilities, from singular courses to internships. Or go crazy and join our zero to hero program.  Prepare yourself as a true dive professional and use this qualification to see the world.

Divemaster

During the PADI Divemaster course, you will learn dive leadership skills through independent study and some classroom sessions. You will complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba. You put this knowledge into action through a series of practical training exercises. “I found that having a good and experienced mentor makes all the difference!”

Get a Life! Go Pro

IDC

Want to continue your dive career and increase your earnings potential, employment prospects and responsibilities? Then your next step up the ladder as professional will be the Instructor Development Course. During the course, you will learn how to apply the PADI System of Education.

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is split in two parts: the Assistant Instructor course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor course. Next to that you will also do the Emergency First Response Instructor course. You can prepare the course and develop your dive theory by doing the online E-learning. During the course you will learn to give knowledge development presentations, confined water presentations, open water presentations and have a lot of fun and rewarding workshops. When you successfully completed the IDC, you can enroll to the 2-day Instructor Examination (IE) and earn your PADI Instructor rating.
